Presently Maheran is the Director and Consultant for CAAT Solutions PLT. and Leading Quantum Consultancy Sdn. Bhd. She manages to conduct various kinds of trainings, consultancies, advisories and also organizing the corporate wellness effectively. Rosli Saaban

Rosli Saaban has been actively involved in the field of Occupational Safety and Health since working in the Civil Defence Force back in 1990. In this capacity, he was a trainer for Emergency Management, Fire Fighting and Prevention, First Responder Life Support, Ascending & Craft Rescue and Fire Fighting.

Now as a trained as a Safety and Health Officer, he have since been involved in the field of Occupational Safety and Health for more than 15 years. Among his expertise includes conducting programs on establishing emergency response teams, fire fighting techniques for fire squads, first aid programs for first aiders, safe handling of forklift, chemical spillage management chemical handling and 5S. He is also experienced in coordinating high rise building evacuation and rescue activities with Civil Defence Department.

To date, he has attended numerous conferences, seminars, and training organised by professional bodies held throughout the country. He was actively involved in many rescue activities including gas leak exercise with PETRONAS, BOMBA and other government agencies, spill exercise with CCM, PAGEMA, search and rescue exercise for airplane crash and other search and rescue initiatives organised in schools, factories and government bodies. His extensive involvement in community work includes as assistant paramedic and water rescue / Marshall in various competitions organised locally.

He has involved in the field of Occupational Safety and Health more than 15 years as Safety and Health Officer, has attended numerous of conferences, seminars and training’s held throughout the country organized by professional bodies i.e. NIOSH, FMM, BOMBA, ALAM, UTM, TUDM (Air Craft Rescue & Fire Fighting), (FRLS) First Responder Life Support Trainer Awarded by Hospital Sultanah Aminah Johor Bahru. Shuras V, holds a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering graduated from University of Technology Malaysia and MBA from NTU Australia. He joined Sony Electronic ( A- U Cell Manufacturing Organization),Prai Malaysia in 1991 as a Production Engineer and was responsible in establishing production standard for assembly operation, performing risk assessment for New Product Introduction, train new operators on the required SOP, work with CFT team on resolving production quality issues using QCC tools, work with design centre in Japan for design change matters and perform time study with Industrial Engineer to improve the productivity of the shop floor. He has Master Degree from Northern Territory University, Australia.

In 1993, he joined VDO (currently known as Continental) German Automotive Speedometer Manufacturer at Prai, Penang. He was involved in the Customer Complaints Management especially for Audi, Mercedes, Proton, Ford, GM, Chrysler etc car assembly manufacturer. He handled the customer visit and audit and ensures that all issues raised are addressed with proper CAPA. He was than involved in the QS9000 certification process for the plant. He became the MR of the company when the plant was going through the ISO9001 certification.

In 1995, he joined the giant semiconductor manufacturer Motorola and Philips JV in Seremban. He established the calibration and incoming inspection system as part of QMS requirements. He has audited many suppliers as part of supplier development program and even sent to Amsterdam, Netherland to perform QSR (Motorola Quality System Requirement) in 1995.Later after 3 years in the Quality Management, he took a major yield improvement effort in this plant. He managed to breakthrough the yield from 84% to 96% within 6 months of his leadership. He was than promoted to Section Manager of Process Engineering. Shuras V also implemented many TPM initiatives for his organization especially on the OEE improvement under the JIPM (Japan Institute of Plant Management, Japan)

After about 9 years of service, in 2005, he had the opportunity to lead a full functional role as a Manufacturing Manager in Textron Fastening System,USA. Under his responsibilities, he had Production, Tooling, Facilities, Maintenance and Process Engineering. He had a great opportunity to implement the World Class Manufacturing System called New Shop Floor Management, a Japanese Way of Managing Shop Floor - Glass Wall Methodology (Kiyoshi Suzaki).In this program he managed to change the traditional way of running shop floor into a new ideology of using the Glass Wall Management, involving people into continuous improvement, created transparent

management, linking KPI with the problem solving methodology and leadership development among the employee for continuous improvement. As a result of this program, the company key KPI improved tremendously and got the Asia Region and HQ USA recognition. With his leadership trait, he was promoted to Senior Manager (Operation) taking additional responsibilities of Quality Assurance Department. He than took the lead implementing a stringent Quality Management System in the organization such as Aerospace AS9100,VDA German Audit system,TS16949 and Risk Management Methodology.

While in Textron, he implemented Factory Operation Excellence -Lean and Six Sigma Management. He managed to cut many of the NVA processes using the 7 waste methodologies and turned them into a cost saving & productivity improvement opportunity for the plant. He served Textron for 10 years.

Muhammad Hairin had experienced in working with leading Retailing line such as Royal Sporting House ( Malaysia) Sdn Bhd; Retail Sport Company, The Store Sdn Bhd (local Company) and Company of GCH Retail (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd about 11 years.

In this capacity, he has worked as an experienced Department Head in Fresh Food Division in year 2003. He has involved in Meat & Poultry Business in Dairy Farm about 5 year. Major in this area, he was responsible for the business growth in local and Singapore market and his first attachment store was at TMC, Bangsar.

Many years ago, he was held in position regarded within the Human Resource groups as a trainer in year of 2005 and as a Senior Trainer in year 2011. Hishamuddin Abdul Halim

Hishamuddin Abdul Halim is the former Head of Occupational Safety and Health Section at the University of Malaya. Prior to joining the University of Malaya, he served in the manufacturing sector.

His work experience covered production, quality control, logistics and warehouse, supply chain management and QSHE. He has more than 25 years of experience in establishing, implementing, maintaining and improving various management systems such as ISO9001, ISO 45001, ISO14001, C-TPAT, BCM and so on. He was actively involved in the development, review of documents and as well as auditing for those management systems. He was also actively involved in the implementation of various 6 and innovation projects at the organizational level.

Hishamuddin Abdul Halim holds a Bachelor of Management (Hons) degree from Multimedia University and has passed the Safety and Health Officer exam with NIOSH. He is also a PSMB trainer, Ministry of Human Resources (TTT / 2448). He was trained by Emory University in BSL-3 and as well as attended IRCA lead auditor training program organized by Neville Clarke.

In the field of training, he actively designs and delivers training programs and talks in various sub-fields such as QSHE, BCM, emergency preparedness and response, store management and inventory, security, administration, and etc. He has trained staffs or delivered talks for HG Power Transmission, IAC Electricals, Gamlite IT, Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA), University of Malaya, LASAM, Singapore Institution of Safety Officers, Latexx Manufacturing, FGV, Tradewinds Plantations, Malaysian Society of Occupational Safety and Health (MSOSH) and etc. He is a major contributor to the topic of occupational safety and health and as well as environmental management and animal facilities in the Panduan Penjagaan dan Penggunaan Haiwan Makmal (2017) published by Penerbit Universiti Malaya.
